Star Studded Concert at Lincoln Memorial Honors A New Era In American History

A reported 5 million supporters converged around the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC, Sunday to join President-elect Barack Obama, Vice President-elect Joseph Biden, their families, and a star studded line up marking the launch of Inauguration celebrations.

Stevie Wonder, Usher, Jamie Foxx,Mary J. Blige, Beyonce, Bono and more offered powerful messages of unity and love through their musical performances and spoken words.

On Tuesday Obama will be sworn in as the Nation's 44th President and this country's first African American President.

Obama spoke to the crowds about the challenges facing the nation. The President-elect honored this country's forefathers saying "The dream of our founders will live on in our time."

The moment was inspirational for the millions who traveled so far to attend the historical occasion. Many waving the American flag stood proud for America and her precious pride.
